Day 1
BRAINERD – EAGAN
Depart Brainerd with pickups enroute and travel to Eagan, Minnesota for our pre-flight overnight.
Day 2
EAGAN – FORT MYERS
We fly to Fort Myers and transfer to our hotel for a relaxing evening. (B DD)
Day 3
FORT MYERS
Visit the magnificent Edison & Ford Winter Estates. After an included lunch, we visit the Shell Factory & Nature Park for a fun afternoon before returning to our hotel. (B L DD)
Day 4
SANIBEL ISLAND
Sanibel Island awaits! We start our day with a tram tour at the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. After lunch, we visit the amazing National Shell Museum for a guided visit. We end our day with a Dolphin & Wildlife Cruise before heading back to our hotel in Fort Myers. (B DD)
Day 5
FORT MYERS – OLDSMAR
Our first stop this morning is at the world famous Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota. After an included Amish family style lunch we visit Mixon Fruit Farms for a tram tour of the orchards. (B L)
Day 6
OLDSMAR – CRYSTAL RIVER
Our first stop is Tarpon Springs—sponge diving capital of the USA! Board a boat for a Sponge Diving Exhibition & an authentic Greek Lunch at a local restaurant! We visit Weeki Wachee Springs State Park to see their world-famous mermaids. Then it’s off to The Plantation resort on Crystal River for our two night stay. (B L D)
Day 7
CRYSTAL RIVER
This morning sleep in or if you’re feeling adventurous, experience an optional swim with manatees! Later we visit Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park for those that want to see these beautiful creatures and other Florida wildlife before returning to the resort for a Sunset Boat Tour and dinner! (B D)
Day 8
CRYSTAL RIVER – ORLANDO
We head to Ocala to visit the Gypsy Gold Horse Farm. Meet Dennis Thompson who imported the first 16 Gypsy Vanner Horses to North America. We then visit Whispering Oaks Winery for some unique wine and a light lunch. We travel to Orlando for our overnight. (B L DD)
Day 9
ORLANDO – FORT LAUDERDALE
We make a stop at the historic Kennedy Space Center to learn all about America’s space program. Then it’s on to Fort Lauderdale for our two night stay on the beach! (B)
Day 10
FORT LAUDERDALE
Enjoy a day at leisure on the beach. (B)
Day 11
FORT LAUDERDALE – HOMESTEAD
Happy Valentine’s Day! We visit the Everglades today to learn all about this amazing National Park. We overnight in Homestead. (B)
Day 12
HOMESTEAD – FORT MYERS
We cross the Everglades on the Tamiami trail, with stops at the Big Cypress National Preserve and a thrilling Airboat Ride! We travel to Fort Myers for our final evening. (B L DD)
Day 13
FORT MYERS – BRAINERD
We fly back to Minnesota and transfer to Brainerd with memories of warm sunshine! (B)
