Daily Itinerary

Breakfast (B) | Lunch (L) | Dinner (D) | Drury Dinners (DD)

Day 1

BRAINERD – HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA

We board our deluxe motorcoach for our short journey to the Minneapolis/Saint Paul airport, where we board our flight out east to Halifax, Nova Scotia. We arrive at our airport hotel late tonight.

Day 2

HALIFAX – MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK

After a good night’s rest, we leave Halifax and head for the Bay of Fundy. This natural phenomenon is a 170 mile long ocean bay that’s home to the world’s highest tides—54 feet! After our day here, we journey to Moncton for the evening. (B L)

Day 3

MONCTON – PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

This morning we’ll cross the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island or “PEI”. It is the smallest but most densely populated Canadian province with gently rolling plains. We will be met by a local guide, who will help us tour the island stopping at such sites as Island Preserves, Province House and the Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place. We end our tour in the city of Charlottetown, where you’ll be our guests for a sumptuous lobster dinner.
(B D)

Day 4

PRINCE EDWARD – BADDECK

This morning we travel to Nova Scotia. You will immediately fall in love with this beautiful peninsula. We’ll visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck, where we overnight the next two evenings. (B L D)

Day 5

THE CABOT TRAIL

We will notice strong Scottish influences as we cross the Strait of Canso onto Cape Breton Island. We’ll explore the beautiful Cabot Trail and make stops for pictures along a drive that is one of the most scenic in North America! (B L D)

Day 6

BADDECK – HALIFAX

This morning we head to Halifax. We will enjoy a Halifax Guided City Tour to start our day. Along the way, we’ll visit the Atlantic Maritime Museum and Fairview Lawn Cemetery. At the museum, visitors are introduced to the age of steamships, World War II convoys and The Battle of the Atlantic, the Halifax Explosion of 1917, and Nova Scotia’s role in the aftermath of the Titanic disaster. The cemetery is perhaps best known as the final resting place for over one hundred victims of the sinking of the Titanic, where you’ll hear some of their stories. We spend two nights in Halifax. (B L)

Day 7

LUNENBURG & PEGGY’S COVE

This morning we journey to the coast and visit Peggy’s Cove—a famous artist’s colony. We will have time to explore the lighthouse and take pictures of the magnificent scenery! After, we visit Historic Lunenburg—whose harborside streets are lined with unique shops and amazing restaurants that blend with the well-preserved and colorfully painted historic homes. We return to Halifax for the evening. (B L)

Day 8

HALIFAX – BRAINERD

We transfer to the Halifax airport this morning for our flight home. Upon arrival at MSP, we are transferred to Brainerd via deluxe motorcoach, reminiscing about beautiful Nova Scotia & the Maritime Provinces! (B)
