Day 1
BRAINERD – GLASTONBURY, CT
We board our flight to beautiful New England and transfer to our hotel in Connecticut for the night.
Day 2
GLASTONBURY, CT – BOSTON, MA
We travel a short distance to Newport, Rhode Island, where we are joined by our costumed step on guide for our Tour of Newport and Surroundings! Our costumed guide will show us the highlights of this marvelous city, which will be topped off by a visit to The Breakers. This 125,339 square foot mansion was built in an Italian Renaissance style by Cornelius Vanderbilt II. We overnight near Boston. (B L)
Day 3
BOSTON – HAMPTON, NH
The lure of history draws us into Boston, Massachusetts for a guided Boston City Tour. We visit sites like Lexington & Concord and wander down cobblestone streets to the Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. After our tour, we travel to Hampton, NH for two nights across from the beach! (B)
Day 4
ONGUNQUIT, ME
We head to Ogunquit, Maine where you’ll experience the life of a lobsterman with a Lobster Boat Excursion. After, you’ll get a chance to sample the lobster at an authentic New England Lobster Bake. We return to Hampton for the evening. (B L)
Day 5
HAMPTON, NH – NORTHEAST HARBOR, ME
A special treat awaits at Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, the only active and functioning Shaker Village in the world! We travel to Northeast Harbor (Near Bar Harbor) for two nights. (B L)
Day 6
BAR HARBOR, ME
Today we enjoy a three hour tour of Acadia by
Boat Tour! Experience superb views of Bear
Island Lighthouse, nesting osprey and basking
harbor seals framed by Acadia’s dramatic mountains comprise the first portion of the cruise. After our ride, you’ll have time to explore Bar Harbor, grab a bite to eat & shop ‘til you drop. (B)
Day 7
BAR HARBOR – GORHAM, NH
Tour Old Fort Western, a French & Indian War era fort dedicated to preserving 300 years of
history. The Maine Mineral & Gem Museum houses the finest collection of Maine minerals
and gems, including the five largest pieces of the Moon on Earth (which you can touch)!! We
overnight in Gorham, NH. (B D)
Day 8
GORHAM, NH – LAKE MOREY, VT
Today you’re in for a treat. Ride the Conway Scenic Railroad for an up close look at the beautiful fall foliage. After, we head to Vermont where we will spend two nights at the comfortable Lake Morey resort. (B D)
Day 9
LAKE MOREY, VT
Today we visit a New England favorite—Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. You’ll see how to
make maple syrup and have time to shop for goodies! We spend the remainder of the day at
Lake Morey Resort for some relaxation before heading home! (P.S. Enjoy the S’Mors!!) (B D)
Day 10
LAKE MOREY, VT – BRAINERD
We head back to Minnesota today, but not before one more event—Salem Cross Inn Fireside Lunch! Head to the airport afterwards for our flight to Minnesota and motorcoach home. (B L)
