Day 1&2

REYKJAVIK

We board our motorcoach for our short trip to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport where we board our plane for the flight to Reykjavik. Upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport, we’ll be met by our guide and head straight into the heart of Reykjavik for breakfast and early exploration. After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely walking tour of Reykjavik and its quirky blend of colorful corrugated iron buildings and modern design marvels. From Hallgrímskirkja church to the Harpa Concert Hall, and the historic City Hall to the Icelandic Parliament, the capital city unfolds like a living museum of Icelandic life. In the afternoon, we head to the Sky Lagoon, one of Iceland’s most luxurious geothermal experiences. Soak in warm oceanside waters with panoramic views, surrounded by sea, sky, and serenity. Your visit includes the Seven-Step Ritual, towel service, and access to the changing facilities. This evening, we’ll enjoy a stylish Welcome Dinner at the Fish Company, where Icelandic ingredients and global inspiration meet in a beautifully cozy restaurant. (B D)

Day 3

THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Today, we venture along the world-famous Golden Circle Route, Iceland’s natural showcase. Our first stop: Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where two tectonic plates drift apart, and where Iceland’s first parliament was founded in 930 AD — the oldest still-existing in the world. Next, indulge in a rare culinary delight at Friðheimar, a greenhouse restaurant where geothermal energy grows tomatoes year-round. After lunch we’ll marvel at the geothermal chaos of the Geysir Hot Spring Area, where hot water bursts from the earth, followed by a visit to the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall cascading 100 feet into a rugged canyon. On our way to the hotel we’ll pause at the mystical — a rare waterfall you can actually walk behind. Tonight keep an eye on the skies where the Northern Lights might just grace us with their presence. (B L D)

Day 4

SKAFTAFELL

Today is all about the extraordinary beauty of Iceland’s glacial wilderness. We begin at Skaftafell National Park, where, if conditions allow, we’ll hike to Svartifoss, a waterfall cascading over dramatic black basalt columns that inspired Iceland’s famed architecture. Then, we journey to the otherworldly Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where immense icebergs drift peacefully across glacial waters, creating a dreamlike scene of blue and white. (B D)

Day 5

VIK

This morning, we make our way back along Iceland’s dramatic southern coastline. We’ll stop at Reynisfjara Beach, famous for its black volcanic sands, crashing Atlantic waves, and alien-like basalt columns. Behold the mighty Skógafoss waterfall, plunging 200 feet in a roaring curtain of mist and beauty. Later we visit the Icelandic Lava Show — the only place in the world where you can witness real molten lava up close in a safe indoor setting. (B D)

Day 6

BLUE LAGOON

Our journey ends with a final indulgence: the legendary Blue Lagoon. Set in a lava field near the airport, the steaming turquoise waters are rich in silica and minerals — the perfect finale to an exhilarating trip. After soaking in Iceland’s most iconic spa, we’ll enjoy a Farewell Lunch at the LAVA Restaurant, built into a lava cliff with sweeping views over the lagoon. We then transfer to Keflavik International Airport for our return flight home and transfer to Brainerd. (B L)
