Day 1
BRAINERD – MINNEAPOLIS
Today we make our short trip to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area where we overnight for our early flight tomorrow morning.
Day 2
MINNEAPOLIS – VANCOUVER
This morning we will board our flight to Vancouver, British Columbia. Upon arrival, we transfer to Vancouver’s Canada Place Pier where we board the lovely ms Koningsdam. We depart late this afternoon for our three day northbound cruise. Make sure you’re on deck as we sail under Lions Gate bridge in Vancouver to begin our Inside Passage voyage! (B L D)
Day 3
THE INSIDE PASSAGE
Today we’ll be cruising the fabled inside passage. You’ll want to take advantage of the shipboard activities today and take time to stroll on deck to view the sights and sounds of this beautiful waterway. (B L D)
Day 4
JUNEAU
As we approach Juneau, be on the lookout for whales, eagles and other wildlife. Upon arrival, you may wish to go on an optional glacier expedition via helicopter or walk on Mendenhall Glacier. We depart Juneau this evening. (BLD)
Day 5
SKAGWAY
After cruising the Lynn Canal, we arrive early this morning in the town of Skagway. We disembark this morning and enjoy a city tour. This afternoon we’ll check in to our hotel with a free evening to explore this charming town. (B)
Day 6
SKAGWAY – WHITEHORSE
This morning we board the narrow gauge White Pass & Yukon Railroad and follow the footsteps of the miners of the Gold Rush. Afterwards, we transfer to our motorcoach for the remaining journey to Whitehorse, capital of the Yukon.
Day 7
WHITEHORSE – DAWSON CITY
Travel along the Klondike Highway to Dawson City, a living museum of the gold rush. This evening we enjoy Dawson City like the miners did, watching a Can-Can show at Diamond Tooth Gerties. We spend two nights in Dawson City. (L)
Day 8
DAWSON CITY
After a leisurely morning, we take a tour of Dawson’s historic sites where we’ll visit Discovery Claim where gold was first discovered on Bonanza Creek. We also visit Gold redge No. 4—the largest gold dredge that operated in the Yukon!
Day 9
DAWSON CITY – FAIRBANKS
We bid goodbye to Dawson City on our short flight to Fairbanks. We transfer to our hotel for the evening.
Day 10
FAIRBANKS – DENALI
This morning we start with a cruise on the Chena River aboard the Riverboat Discovery! After, we board our motorcoach for the trip to Denali National Park. We arrive at our Denali hotel for the next two nights. (L)
Day 11
DENALI NATIONAL PARK
Today we journey into Denali National Park. The Tundra Wilderness Tour features a wide variety of flora, fauna & wilderness found in this magnificent park. You may even catch a glimpse of Mount McKinley, rising up out of the landscape.
Day 12
DENALI – ANCHORAGE
This morning we board the McKinley Explorer to Talkeetna. Be on the lookout for elusive Mount McKinley. We disembark the train in Talkeetna for the drive to Anchorage—our home tonight.
Day 13
ANCHORAGE – BRAINERD
We board our flight for our return trip to Minneapolis today. Upon our arrival we will transfer back home to Brainerd.
