Day 1

BRAINERD – HARTFORD, CT

We board our flight to beautiful New England and transfer to our hotel in Connecticut for the night.

Day 2

HARTFORD, CT – HYANNIS, MA

We travel a short distance to Newport, Rhode Island, where we are joined by our costumed step on guide for our Tour of Newport and Surroundings! Our costumed guide will show us the highlights of this marvelous city, which will be topped off by a visit to The Breakers. This 125,339 square foot mansion was built in an Italian Renaissance style by Cornelius Vanderbilt II. We travel to Hyannis where we will spend the next two evenings. (B L)

Day 3

CAPE COD

Today we make the scenic drive to Provincetown located on the tip of Cape Cod. On arrival, enjoy a Cape Cod tradition—a Cape Cod Dune Tour! Roll through the Peaked Hill Bars Historic District Sand Dunes, catching sight of Pilgrim Lake nestled among the dunes and the famed artists’ dune  shacks. Discover the history and ecology of these beautiful and unique dunes that have inspired so many fine artists and writers. We return to Hyannis. (B)

Day 4

HYANNIS – BOSTON

This morning we will visit the Plimouth Plantation, where you may talk with pilgrims from 1626! We then travel to Plymouth, Massachusetts to see Plymouth Rock & the Mayflower II. On to Boston to experience the Boston Tea Party Museum. We stay near Boston. (B L)

Day 5

BOSTON – HAMPTON, NH

The lure of history draws us into Boston, Massachusetts for a guided Boston City Tour. We visit Lexington & Concord and wander down cobblestone streets to the Old North Church and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground. After our tour, we travel to Hampton, NH for two nights across from the beach! (B)

Day 6

OGUNQUIT

We head to Ogunquit, Maine where you’ll experience the life of a lobsterman with a Lobster Boat Excursion. After, you’ll get a chance to sample the lobster at an authentic New England Lobster Bake. We return to Hampton for the evening. (B L)

Day 7

HAMPTON, NH – LAKE MOREY, VT

Today you’re in for a treat. Ride the Conway Scenic Railroad for an up close look at the beautiful fall foliage. After, we head to Vermont where we will spend two nights at the comfortable Lake Morey Resort. (B D)

Day 8

LAKE MOREY, VT

Today we visit a New England favorite—Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. You’ll see how to make maple syrup and have time to shop for goodies! Our lunch stop is at Cold Hollow Cider Mill to see how this magical juice is made! After lunch we’ll enjoy a historic tour of the Trapp Family Lodge and get the real story of the Von Trapp family. Back to Lake Morey Resort for our last evening. (P.S. Enjoy the S’Mores!!) (B L D)

Day 9

LAKE MOREY, VT – BRAINERD

We head back to Minnesota today, but not before one more event—Salem Cross Inn Fireside Lunch! Then on to the airport for our flight to Minnesota and motorcoach home. (B L)
