Day 1

OFF TO DES MOINES

This morning we depart from Hardee’s Restaurant in Brainerd (all passengers receive a $10 Hardee’s Gift Card compliments of PTS Tours) and we make our way toward Des Moines, IA with a few stops along the way for breaks & lunch. This afternoon we will have a guided gallery tour of the Iowa Quilt Museum by none other than Marianne Fons of Fons & Porter fame! After we check into our Des Moines hotel, we’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and then be entertained by the Des Moines Community Playhouse’s performance of “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”! (D)

Day 2

MISSOURI STAR

Rise & shine we are off to Hamilton, MO…the small town that houses the many Missouri Star Quilt Co. fabric shops. They’ve created the ultimate quilter’s experience that many call the “Disneyland of Quilting”! You can shop til you drop, as we will be here pretty much the entire day! We will have time with Jenny (if available) or another teacher during the day. (B L)

Day 3

HOMEWARD BOUND

After a good night’s rest we will depart our hotel and head north. This morning we’ll make a stop at the Calico Hutch Quilt Shop in Hayward, MN (just in case you couldn’t find everything you were searching for yesterday)…this is a wonderful quilt shop & Carolyn is a lovely host! After our farewell lunch, you can sit back & relax as we make our way home to Brainerd. (B L)

What our "travelers" have to say...

Thank you for all you do for your clients!

You both are such fun, giving, caring and patient!

You make our PTS tours so fun!

You have shown us so many outstanding places. We appreciate both you and Tam for all the work you put into them.

"Thanks for the great bus trip!"

My first time on a bus. Had a very good time and saw lots of great things. You're a very good tour guy. Liked your sense of humor. Met some very nice people. Really enjoyed Elvis. Hope to take another trip in the future. Thanks again.

- Lois

"I look forward to all my tours with PTS!"

Thank you for taking good care of me and the other travelers on the Mexican Cruise. From the time we left Brainerd until our return, you were always there for us.

- Linda

"It is a treat to have real travel pros like yourself worry about the details."

Though still "virtual rookies", Joyce and I want to thank you for welcoming us into the caring arms of both yourself and all the many friends of the Tour who travel with you regularly.

- Larry and Joyce

"It was a delightful smorgasbord of variety, interest, new experiences and fun."

What a wonderful trip! We appreciate your thoughtfulness and hard work bringing it all together. The pace was great and we loved all the "must sees" we took off our list.

- Dan and Marlene
